Potpourri

My last post about Fantasia Fair generated a discussion in the Transgender community. Staci over at femulate.com took my comments seriously, and wrote a response, which in turn generated more feedback. I do want to add that I did see some TG/TS girls out last night dressed for a night on the town, and they all looked great. I however looked like a drowned rat by the time I made it out to the club, having timed my arrival with the heaviest downpour of the current Nor’easter. I guess there is such a thing as karma. I did note today at work that tipping was back up to normal levels now that Trannie Week is over though. I read some of Staci’s other posts about Fantasia Fair, and how expensive it is… So maybe that accounts for the empty tip jars last week.

While I was at the club last night, I asked around if anyone had seen my friend Ashley Michelle (my drag queen coworker who had gone missing). It was worrisome, but nobody had seen or heard from her since Tuesday. She missed the last four days at work, and didn’t call in. She did’t respond to any messages or calls, either. Nor did she pick up her paycheck on Friday, which is when I started to worry. I tried not to worry too much about what happened to her, figuring she must have friends that look in on her.

Luckily, Ashley showed up at work this afternoon after missing four days in a row without explanation. She’d been deliriously sick, and slept for three days straight. Poor thing. I’m glad she’s better, and not chopped up into pieces by a homicidal jealous boyfriend. No word yet on whether she’ll get to keep her job, although I put in a good word with the boss when he asked me.

Let’s see… what else? I finally got Twitter figured out when I got a thingie on my phone that let’s me use it. I’ve enjoyed reading all the updates posted by friends & folks I follow. If you want to follow my tweets, I am @SeidaBacon. You can see my latest tweets over there in the sidebar (on the blog only) I still don’t have my regular connection to the net restored (damn you Comcast!) so I haven’t been on Facebook much lately. And I also have not been able to post any new designs in the Bacon Bits Boutique like I wanted too. But don’t let that stop you… I still have over 500 fabulous items for you, and you can still use the code TRICKORTREAT to save 10.31% off your net order until Halloween.

Speaking of the high holidays, I so excited that Halloween is only a week away! If you’re in Provincetown, be sure to look for me. I’ll post pics as soon as I can after next Saturday.

Love ya, hon!
