My TV’s still got rabbit ears, so I didn’t get to watch the SAG Awards live last night. (For you hillbillies out there, that’s the Screen Actors Guild awards… it has nothing to do with my cleavage!) But I am so grateful to be living in such a modern age… I got to see most of the good stuff on The YouTube. And I have to give props (is that what the young’uns still say?) again to my nephew Chad for schoolin’ me on such stuff as that.
My favorite parts were the red carpet and Betty White’s speech. I have been a big fan of hers since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, and I’m thrilled that she’s still around, funny as ever. She has a way of making true things funny, like when she made that crack about Sandra Bullock getting so far in her career for such a plain girl.
